		<description>I&#039;ve been talking about taking up swimming for almost a year now. I really need to just take the plunge (har har), I don&#039;t know why I am so hesitant to try it. I&#039;m pretty diligent on the cross training, lots of yoga, spinning and weight training. 

I&#039;ll be careful if I decide to make the switch on a slow transition.

		<description>I&#039;m suffering from several overuse injuries right now - IT Band, shin splits and piriformis syndrome. I suspect this is the result of switching from stability shoes to neutral shoes too quickly. 

I totally agree that your strike and form have a lot to do with staying injury-free. While I haven&#039;t found the secret to fixing my strike, I have found that cross-training really helps. Spending time in the pool or on a bike help to alleviate the stress from running.</description>
